Geffen Academy Boys Varsity Bruins allow triple-digits, fall to Wiseburn Da Vinci 103-51

Los Angeles, California - The Geffen Academy Boys Varsity Basketball Bruins, after achieving a winning record for the first time this season at 5-4, lost to Wiseburn Da Vinci in a non-competitive game by the end of the first quarter. The Bruins came out firing on all cylinders, with superstar rookie Stevan Markovic starting 3-3 for 3-point territory as the Bruins jumped out to an early two point lead. However, once the initial energy evaporated, Wiseburn De VInci took control of the game. Threes were falling and when they weren’t, there was always someone there for the putback bucket.

By the time the game reached the third quarter, the game was long over. Geffen Academy tried their best to make it respectable, but by the time they were getting dunked on by players slightly shorter than the average NBA height, it was the final nail in the coffin. Markovic finished with 18 points and always reliable senior Cypress Ohebsion added 14. The loss of sophomore guard Nathan Muhumuza also plagued the Bruins, as they lacked a true starting point guard. Junior Nicholas (Nick) Hunter stepped up in the absence to fill the shoes of Muhumuza. The Bruins will look to go into the break with a fresh mind and come out on the other side with a new look.
